Biographical information:

Since school, I've been... I am now retired from working for several colleges as an administrative assistant. I am a happy parent and grandparent. Unhappily my marriage did not work out after being married for 17 years. I live now with my father. My mother died of Alzheimers three years ago. I travel frequently to visit my family and am so very happy to be involved in their lives. My brother still lives near the Collegedale Academy campus. Last year dad and I visited him over Thanksgiving week. I am still working on my college degree and expect to take some more courses this summer.

My family: I have two grown daughters who are very happily married. My oldest daughter has three children, my youngest daughter has one son who will be age 5 this summer. As stated above my brother still lives in Collegedale. My father will be 88 this July and is in very good health.

Life experiences: Having two wonderful daughters, who have turned out to be great in spite of my choosing not to be married to their father, who was and still is a great dad to them. Now I just love being a parent and grandparent. Im very busy as you can imagine, am grateful too that my family still lets me be involved in their lives. But I step back, because if allowed I would live on their front doorstep. Smile.

My favorite things in school: Music, athletics. My favorite job that I held my junior and senior year at the academy was cooking and scooping ice cream at the old College Store.

My favorite things now: Travel when I can, especially going to the Outer Banks of North Carolina and fishing in the surf for flounder, trout, any fish really, with my father. I collect antiques, do a lot of reading, and like to just relax trying out new recipes.

My favorite books, movies and music: Favorite Movie: Casablanca. Favorite Music: Classical, jazz, big band music, country, bluegrass. Favorite books: Poetry and stories of Edgar Allan Poe, poets such as Longfellow, Tennyson, Yeats. Mark Twains Tom Sawyer and I like all the old english mystery authors such as Agatha Christie, PD James. I also devour any accounts of the Civil War and World War II and the Revolutionary War.

I work at: I still work for a temp agency, and am retired.
